Billing, invoices, and subscription

How plans, payments, invoices, failed payments, and cancellation work in Seller Sync.

Updated Oct 1, 2026

Everything billing-related lives in Settings → Billing: your plan and credit balance at the top, this period's credit meter, the plan comparison, your credit activity, and your invoices. Payments run through Stripe secure checkout; payment methods are managed in the Stripe billing portal.

Your plan at a glance

The top of the Billing tab shows your current plan with a status pill (Trial, Trial ended, Active, Renewal off, Past due, Suspended, Ended, or Not activated), your renewal date (or your trial end date), and three credit numbers: available, on hold for runs in progress, and purchased.

Standard is $499/month and includes 10,000 credits each month. Pro is $999/month and includes 25,000 credits each month plus assisted setup. Custom plans carry a negotiated credit allowance. Plan cards show the included credits, how many catalogs can grade at once, and features.

Credits and activation

Uploading stores the file and starts grading, holding an estimate of the credits it needs, which can grow from your balance if the run needs more. Unused reserved credits are released; Billing shows the resulting transactions and any top-ups available. There are no automatic overages.

Credits measure grading work. Each run shows what it may hold before it starts and what it used when it finishes. Amazon market data lookups never use credits. Each run holds an estimate when it starts and can grow that hold from your balance if it needs more; only the credits the run actually uses are kept, and the rest are released.

Credits for a failed grading run are restored. If you cancel a run, completed work is kept and unused reserved credits are released.

Included credits renew with your plan each month and don't roll over. Credits left from the previous period stay usable until your renewal payment goes through, then expire when the new period's credits arrive. Trial credits expire when the trial ends. Credits already reserved for an accepted run stay available to that run; released credits keep their original expiry.

Start with a 14-day free trial. Choose a plan from Billing when you are ready; secure Stripe checkout shows the price and renewal terms before you pay. If you choose a plan during your trial, you are charged that day, your plan credits are added right away, and any trial credits you have left stay usable until your original trial end date. Workspaces with an existing subscription use Change plan; the confirmation explains when the change takes effect. Legacy workspaces keep the terms shown in Billing until their stated transition.

Credit packs

Credit packs are available on paid plans. A pack is a one-time purchase: it adds credits to your balance, never expires while your account is open, and does not renew. Packs are not available during the free trial; choose a plan first.

Invoices and payment methods

Recent invoices are listed right on the Billing tab. For everything else, such as updating your card or changing billing details, click Manage billing to open the Stripe billing portal. Changes you make there sync back to Seller Sync automatically.

If a payment is refunded or disputed, the credits that payment added come off your balance; credits already used are not taken back. A dispute that is resolved in your favor gives them back.

If a payment fails

A failed charge doesn't cut you off immediately:

  1. The Billing tab shows a "Payment failed" warning with a grace period: a countdown of days to update your payment method before access is restricted. We also email you right away; billing emails are always on. You can add a text alert for failed payments in Settings → Notifications. Until the payment goes through you keep using the credits left from your last period; the new period's credits arrive when the charge succeeds.
  2. Update your card via Manage billing (the Stripe portal). Once the charge succeeds, the warning clears on its own.
  3. If the grace period runs out, your workspace is suspended: new grading runs are paused until payment is resolved. Your data (catalogs, results, purchase orders) stays intact, and updating your payment method restores access.

Canceling and renewal

You can turn off renewal from the Stripe billing portal (Manage billing → cancel subscription). Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period, not immediately:

  • As soon as you cancel in the portal, the Billing tab shows "Renewal is off" with the date your access runs through.
  • You keep full access until that date: grading, results, exports, everything.
  • After the period ends, the workspace locks: Billing, Settings, Help, Support and your account data download stay open, and your catalogs, results and purchase orders are kept (nothing is deleted). Resubscribe any time to pick up where you left off.

If you resubscribe before the period ends, service continues without interruption.
