Purchase orders

Create a PO from results

Add products to a purchase order straight from a catalog's Results page, then open it with Review order.

Updated Oct 13, 2026

Every purchase order (PO) starts on a catalog's Results page. Once a catalog finishes grading, you pick the products worth buying and add them to the catalog's PO. No re-typing, no copying between spreadsheets.

Add products from the Results page

Every way to add lands on the same order:

  • Open a product and use the rail. Click a product to open it in the rail on the right. Set the cases at the foot of the rail, then click Add & next, or press Enter in the Cases field. The rail moves on to the next product; on the last one the button reads Add to PO. Next moves on without adding.
  • Click Add on a product. Adds one case of it.
  • Press P. Adds the open product with the rail's cases, or one case when the rail is closed.
  • Select products, then Add to PO. Check the products you want and click Add to PO in the bar at the bottom. Products already on the order are skipped, and any the order can't take stay selected so you can try them again. Set cases in the same bar gives every selected product the same number of cases.

Each add shows a message that names the order, for example "Added to PO-0021 · 4 cases", with Undo and Review order. Press Z to take back your last add or case change.

As soon as you add the first product, the order is saved. It is a real, numbered purchase order linked to the catalog's supplier, so you won't lose it by closing the tab.

The order line at the foot of the rail

The foot of the rail shows the line the order will hold, before the order's discount, freight and tax. For example:

case · 12 units · $324.00 and est. +$139.92

That is the cases, the units in them, the line cost (cases × units per case × unit cost), and the estimated profit: each listing's sell price, minus all its fees and its cost, times the listings in those cases. The fees are Amazon's referral and FBA fees, plus your prep, inbound shipping and storage.

Edit costs opens the unit cost and the units per case for this product. The units per case comes from the catalog; it says "You set" when you typed it and "Unknown" when the catalog doesn't say. When it is unknown, the line cost shows a dash. You can still add the product: the order asks for the units per case before you send it.

Once the product is on the order, the rail says On the order, with Remove, and the cases you set there save as you change them. Next moves on.

Units are checked for you

When a product lands on the order, its purchasing units (units per case, the Amazon pack size and the unit cost) are checked for you. Products that pass are confirmed automatically. Only the ones that need a look are flagged on the order.

Review order

The last line of the rail counts the order: its number, how many products, the total and the estimated profit, for example PO-0001 · 4 products · $482 · est. +$383. The estimated profit appears once every product on the order has what it needs. Until then the line says how many products to check, for example "2 to check". While a product is open, this line is the one place the order is counted: the scoreboard above the table folds to one line and leaves the order out.

To open the order, use any of these:

  • Review at the end of that line, or Review order on the last product once it is on the order
  • the Purchase order tile in the scoreboard, while no product is open
  • Review order in an add message
  • press O

The order opens straight away, already loaded. There is no separate drawer to go through.

Back to results

The order page has a link back to the catalog's results at the top. It returns you to the same Results view: the same filters and sort, the same product open in the rail, and the same scroll position. Your browser's Back button does the same.

PO Assistant

Run PO Assistant on an open product and its suggested quantity (Suggested 3 · Use at the foot of the rail) and the order changes Ask suggests reach your order only when you click to add them. It never changes your order on its own.

Where orders live

Draft orders stay on the Purchase orders page until you send them. See Quantities, units per case, and landed cost for editing products on the order, and Sending and exporting POs for sending it to your supplier.
